Each year at CLF we honor those of our Leather Tribe who have left us in the past year. During the Saturday evening events there will be a candle lighting ceremony where we will read the names of the departed.
After the names have been read we will read the fourth stanza of the poem For the Fallen, written by Robert Laurence Binyon in 1914 to commemorate the men lost in World War I:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
If you would like to submit a name for the ceremony, please send an email to Remembrance@ColoradoLeatherFest.com. There will also be a station at the event where you can leave a name.
You are welcome to submit a name even if you are not attending the event.
